Having done internships at Deloitte and Credit Suisse I have plenty of experience in dealing with the accounts side of the job.

As former Treasurer for the Uni football club I have become well rehearsed in the dark underworld of extracting money from others.

During my time as Treasurer I also increased our sponsorship to £2000 up from £500 and was involved in organizing new drinks deals for the club.

Using this experience I intend to increase funding to the Galenicals and ensure that this goes towards all the things that we love about Bristol Medicine. This will enable the numerous Medic Societies, the fresher’s bar crawl, CLIC, Nantes etc. to not only stay as great as they are but to improve!

Whats more I will work with the new ENTs reps to ensure better discounts with our Galenical’s cards (discussions with Pizza Express and embargo have already begun…)

Julian Lin

I’m Julian Lin and I’m running to be your Treasurer. I’ve always been active in various
societies and have been part of committees before running medics badminton this year and
from this I’ve gained a wealth of experience in terms of what makes a society successful
and what I can and can’t with money.

Medicine is a long course and extremely costly, if elected I would do my best to get medical
students more deals and discounts with their Galenicals membership cards, getting you

Joshua Wall

Hi my name is Josh, and I am campaigning to become your Galenicals Treasurer. I am
trustworthy and efficient, so you can rest assured that the accounts will always be in order,
and it goes without saying that I am good with numbers.

My goal is to improve sponsorship for Galenicals and negotiate new deals (in bars,
restaurants and gyms), that members can utilise simply by showing their Galenicals card.
I am also keen to publicise where the society’s money gets spent and make the decisions
regarding the spending of the society’s money as fair and transparent as possible.

Having helped organise large balls and held the position of both President and fundraising
committee member for Marrow, I am used to managing large sums of money and holding
positions of responsibility. I am not afraid to fight for what is best for Galenicals, in order to
benefit every member.
